Welcome to the Elevent for WordPress Plugin. This plugin should save you gobs of time creating events in WordPress and speed you on your way to creating advanced, stylish event guides and ticketing on your WordPress website.
Where to Get It
The Elevent for WordPress plugin is not available in any WordPress list or store--it only works with Elevent so you get it from Elevent. Just let us know in Back Office support chat you'd like to license the plugin and we'll send you the uploadable plugin.
If you have your website hosted here at Elevent with Elevent Hosted Sites, all you need to do is upgrade to our newer hosting plans. The cost and installation services for the Elevent for WordPress plugin and any third-party plugins are included in your Hosting agreement.
Dependencies
Elevent for WordPress currently de facto-requires one additional third-party plugin. Future versions of the plugin will have more filtering and display functionality built-in, so this plugin will become less necessary.
- FacetWP Basic: required to take full advantage of all the filtering, sorting, and searching used by the out-of-the-box templates and shortcodes. FacetWP Pro comes with a number of add-ons, several of which you will see listed as dependencies after you install the Elevent plugin.
Two Flavors of Templates
Recognizing not every WordPress website builds content the same way, the plug-in contains out of the box templates for two of the most common ways to create page and post templates:
- Regular WordPress theme templates
- Elementor
You can, of course, create your own templates, pages, or posts from scratch and use the shortcodes that come with the Elevent for WordPress plugin. Or you can copy the templates we provide and modify them to make them you're own.
Installation
You will receive the Elevent for WordPress plugin as a .zip file.
From the WordPress admin, go to Plugins and Upload the .zip file you received. If successful, you should see the Elevent for WordPress plugin listed in your plugin manifest.

Installing the Elevent Presets
To finish the job, we need to import a bunch of filters and listing shortcodes the templates use.
Importing filters and listings
Under Settings in your WordPress admin menu, choose FacetWP.
In the tab menu on the FacetWP page, choose Settings.
Toggle from General to Import/Export
In the Import area, paste this snippet and press the Import button.
